Beach Days
Lawn chairs dragged to the sand. Tunes pumping from a speaker that's definitely not waterproof. Beers flowing, kids in the water, and one inflatable unicorn floaty doing more work than anyone else on the beach. Attendance mandatory.

See What's On This Weekend
Every August Long Weekend, the family takes over Palliser Regional Park, and the Fun House becomes home base.
The setup is pretty hard to beat: a patio overlooking the lake, the beach across the street, a cooler that's always full, and enough food to make you wonder why anyone ever leaves the cabin.
The adults bounce between the deck, the beach, and the barbecue, catching up over a drink while someone is always putting another meal together.
The kids? Good luck keeping track of them. They're off to the pool, the beach, the park, the ice cream shack, and back again — making new friends, finding old ones from previous summers, and showing up only when they hear someone yell, "Food's ready!"
It's the kind of weekend where flip-flops are the dress code, nobody knows what time it is, and the only real plan is figuring out what's for the next meal.
Live your August Long.
Three days. Zero agenda. Mostly lies — here's the actual plan.

The ladies load up and head to Riverhurst for VLTs and drinks. What happens in Riverhurst stays in Riverhurst, except the stories — those get told every year for the rest of time.
The kids run the park like they own it. Pool time, playground missions, and whatever chaos naturally follows when you cut them loose on a long weekend. Parents supervise loosely.
Live music under the open prairie sky. Bring your lawn chair, your drink of choice, and someone to dance with. The Fun House crew has a reserved zone — find the noise, find us.
The Fun House Advanced Fireworks Research Division closes out Sunday night with its annual detonation showcase. Methodical? No. Spectacular? Always. Stand back and enjoy the results of zero professional oversight.
